Film in Colour was founded and created by Canadian Filmmaker Pavan Moondi in July 2019, and officially launched in January 2020. The website was initially built to serve as a  tool to showcase Canadian filmmakers, and has since expanded to include Crew and a wide swath of Industry Professionals. In August 2020, the web site opened up to allow members from anywhere in the world.
