Bio

Adeline Bird is a Afro-indigenous writer and director, who is a member of treaty four territory Rolling River First Nations, but resides in Winnipeg, Manitoba. 

She’s the host and founder of the Soul Unexpected Podcast. And author of the book, “Be Unapologetically You: A Self-Love Guide for Women of Color.” 

Adeline is a graduate of the National Screening Institutes CBC New Indigenous Voices program where she made her directorial debut with her first short film “Nappy Hair and Eagle Feather” which is available on CBC Gem. 

She is also a alumni of the Hot Docs accelerator program.

Adeline is one of the 2018 Imgainative APTN pitch winners and is also a  Telefilm’s 2019 “Talent to Watch” for a web series titled “iNdigiThreads.”
