Bio
My name is Becky Yeboah and I’m a Toronto-based independent film producer, line producer and production manager from Winnipeg, MB. An alumna of Toronto Film School’s film production program, I’ve since produced, line produced and/or managed over 60 different projects spanning short films, web/broadcast commercials, and feature films. In past years I’ve been a recipient of the Ontario Arts Council Media Artists Creation grant, as well as completed an internship with Canadian film financing company JoBro Productions through the CMPA’s Ontario Production Mentorship Program.
Since then, I’ve gone on to line produce exciting features such as the the found footage horror feature “V/H/S 94” as well as the horror feature “Violation”, which screened at both the Toronto International Film Festival as well as the Sundance International Film Festival (both “V/H/S 94” and “Violation” went on to be sold to popular horror streaming service SHUDDER). I also served as production manager for the Rhombus Media produced biopic “BlackBerry” starring Jay Baruchel and Glenn Howerton. The first feature films for which I served as a producer was called “Hazy Little Thing” which screened at the Canadian Film Festival and went on to be sold to the Canadian broadcaster Super Channel. Recently, I’ve line produced 2 feature films for American distributor Lionsgate in partnership with BuzzFeed Entertainment.
I’m well-experienced in developing and maintaining budgets, hiring crew, negotiating, managing locations, collaborating with creative and overall building a production from the ground up. As a line producer/ PM I’ve successfully production managed multiple shoots, coordinated teams of 80+, and coordinated with talent and agents. I’m constantly liaising with rental houses, securing locations, filing for permits, booking crew, vehicles, catering, etc.
I’ve curated and managed numerous budgets and know how to utilize every cent to its potential and how to get the highest level of production value at the most efficient level of expense. Administratively I have many years of experience coordinating an office, tracking and filing expenses, organizing workflows, etc. and I know what it means to see tasks through from beginning to end. I consider myself lucky to have been able to gain excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and I’ve developed a positive appreciation for managing peers and co- workers.
