Bio
Based in Ontario, I am a cinematographer and a steadicamoperator. I have worked in numerous shorts, features, documentaries, TV commercials and music videos around the globe. In 2005 I was selected for Asian Film Academy in Busan and received the KAFA Asian scholarship and in 2008 I graduated from the Korean Academy of Film Arts in cinematography. The short film, I too have a name(2012) was nominated for the Golden Bear at the Berlinale International Film Festival. There is no poetry here (short/2013) was chosen to the competition at Busan IFF and was screened at Cannes Short Film Corner. The feature films; Burning birds (Cannes Cine Foundation / 2016) and House of my fathers were both screened in many reputed international film festivals such as Busan, Rotterdam and Locarno. The most recent feature film Ayu(2019) won the best cinematography award at the Around International Film Festival.
