Bio
An award-winning documentary filmmaker whose two most recent films won Oscar qualify awards, Lisa works as a director for hire. In 2019, her CBC film One Leg In, One Out won Best Short Documentary at the LA and Brooklyn Film Festival. Lisa’s film Take a Walk on the Wildside won the 2018 Canadian Screen Award for Best Documentary Short and a Grand Prize at the Rhode Island International Film Festival. Her film, His Nose, Her Eyes, Whose Face? inspired by her own experience being mixed race, premiered on CBC in 2019. She is currently directing an episode of a music series for Netflix and Bell Media through Banger Film, developing a documentary series on female sexuality alongside 90th Parallel Productions and eOne and developing a feature documentary on three sex workers’ outreach work with Clique Pictures. Lisa also directs branded content, recently completing two branded series for VICE.
