Naiyelli Romero Agüero is a Venezuelan-Canadian producer and actor based in Toronto, Ontario. Her career began at the age of 4 when she joined the theatre troupe “Grupo de Teatro Colibrí” in Caracas, Venezuela. This experience lead her to being featured in “¡Qué Locura!”, a comedy show by Venevisión, one of Venezuela’s largest television networks.

In 2018, Romero completed her BFA in Film Studies at Ryerson University, where she received a variety of accolades for her theses work, including the Women in Film Award. The following year, she received a Media Business Essentials Certificate from Humber College. Likewise, Romero is an alumna of CMPA’s Digital Skills for Youth Mentorship Program, and an active member of the Toronto chapter of WIFT.

Outside of film, Romero has curated art shows, including the multinational exhibition Passport in London, UK. She previously worked at the Toronto-based production company Film Forge (Sleeping Giant, White Lie) as an executive assistant.
