Bio

Paritosh Mehta Bio:
Skilled professional with a broad based experience in program evaluation and market development. Most recently this has related to furthering commercial development opportunities in the cultural industries and encompassing project evaluation, funding and executive level reporting of key performance indicators.

Currently, as a Business Officer at Ontario Creates, I administer  the policy direction and governance framework for the tax credit program. This includes processing multiple files, performing financial analysis to determine eligibility for Tax Credits and financing. I have also worked as a Program Consultant, Export Fund, helping deliver screen based financial and strategic programs to Ontario based media companies to help enable them to create and market screen based content and advance their business development goals. I have provided strategic consultative services on industry trends, market, appropriate media vehicle and partnership programs. Furthermore, I have coordinated Ontario’s presence in key domestic and international markets, festivals and trade shows, developed and strengthen relationships with key domestic and international stakeholders.

At Rogers Media, I led the Independent Productions portfolio and worked on the evaluation, production and promotion of English and language programming. In this role, I commissioned over 600 hours of programming, including scripted productions documentary and lifestyle shows.

My work with independent producers has required considerable community outreach, representation at industry and trade events and public speaking opportunities. These experiences have afforded me an opportunity to gain a detailed understanding of multi-ethnic and multi-lingual communities and champion their causes. In 2015, this was recognized when I received the Media Award from Diversity Magazine.

I have a passion for developing talent and take pride in coaching and mentoring the roster of independent producers I have worked with, many of whom have gone on to receive industry acclaim for their work.

I have both a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree as well as Bachelor of Commerce degree and am proficient in multiple South Asian languages.
