Charlene Akuamoah, better known as Asia Fiasco, is a Toronto based Ghanaian fashion stylist and costume designer with roots in both Belgium and Amsterdam. She began her career styling hosts for the MTV after show and after a few seasons she set her focus on her clothing brand BROKE&LIVING alongside her two business partners. Equipped with a knowledge of textiles, design and marketing, she found her way back to the world of styling partnering with Sony Music Canada to help with the visual branding of their new artists. Her work has been featured in Fashion Magazine, Afropunk, The Fader, and the Marilyn Denis show to name a few. In 2019 Charlene was honoured by OkayAfrica and featured on their “OkayAfrica’s 100 women list” honouring African women making a difference.

Her understanding of fashion from both a design and editorial angle has given her the ability to approach all her projects with a different, unique, perspective. Charlene’s main goal is to continue to tell beautiful fashion stories through various mediums like film and photography as well as collaborating with creatives from all over the world.
