Bio
Stephanie Herrera is a former main-stage TheatreSports performer, was part of the cast of Second City’s “Tony ‘N Tina’s Wedding”, and is the founder of the Not-For-Profit Durham Improv Collective Inc.
She has shared the stage with some Canadian icons such as Patrick McKenna and Colin Mochrie, is co-host to the weekly podcast “Eileen & Steph: Everything’s fine”, and is the author of “The Ten Commandments…of Improvising!”
A multi-award winning actor, writer, producer, voice talent, director, and mother of four, Stephanie was the Community Producer and Host on three shows on Rogers TV (Oshawa) and has been creating live theatre shows since 2007.
She writes primarily for theatre and TV and one such project got the green light from Seeso, NBC’s now defunct streaming service. So that was exciting for all of five seconds.
She is currently working on several TV pitches, including turning her acclaimed One-woman show, “Am I Pretty Now?” A Musical Romp Through Plastic Surgery, into a pilot.
Intro
Comedy is in my blood. Through it, I push boundaries and ask questions. I’m looking to collaborate with people who want to laugh and be challenged with a fresh point of view. I’m not out to change the world, I’m here to poke fun at it and play.
